Who we are

For more than 20 years, woodworking has been part of my everyday life. In that time, I’ve built furniture, explored new designs, and worked with wood in countless ways. Through it all, one thing always stood out: finishing was often the most frustrating step. Too many products were overpriced, overly complicated, or left a surface that felt more like plastic than wood. They didn’t reflect the care I had put into the craft.

That frustration became the spark for Leaf & Luster. I wanted a finish that I would actually reach for in my own shop - something safe, straightforward, and trustworthy. A wax oil blend that would protect and enhance wood while letting the material itself shine through. After years of trial, learning, and refining, Forestglow became that answer.

Every tin reflects not just a product, but decades of working hands-on with wood. It’s built on the belief that a finish should honor the maker’s work, not overshadow or detract from it. Leaf & Luster products are for the woodworker who values process and detail, who wants the grain to speak, and who believes the best pieces are the ones that are meant to be touched.

At its heart, Leaf & Luster is a continuation of my own journey in woodworking - a way to share something that makes creating more enjoyable and more authentic.
